If you're running behind and still don't have a Father's Day gift in mind, ask and we'll help you Free For All a few ideas. The cake pictured below was a suggestion from last year.
Signing off until tomorrow...

So wait is it Friday, or Thursday or Tuesday?!? I'm so confused.
Ok, that was hilarious! I am happy that Taste of the USA is the earlier weekend. I will talk to my sister-in-law this weekend and see if it works for her too! Care packages... Hmmmm... Maybe a magazine that has to do with something that he likes, silly string to attack his friends with, a Rubiks cube or other puzzle type thing. Would he like a small picture of you guys, or would he think that was dorky? Teenagers are hard to figure out.
What a nice way to honor your grandmother, Chaotic. Being in community with a group of people who have a passion for creativity in a way that is similar to you.
Was your grandmother creative?
Kat. Good ideas. Silly string - not something I even considered, but consider it done!
This is really basic... but playing cards for camp. Those things sure are versatile. A little crazier idea would be walkie talkies. Those are almost too much fun.
I wanted to send him marshmallows but I know that's a no-no.
What about those glow sticks. Is he too old for those? Cards is a good one. Dice for playing Farkle? Pass the Pigs Game! It's loads of fun! Baloons- for a water balloon fight?
Okay... well I'm off to the company storage unit to document boxes. I know you're jealous but try to remember that if you work really hard you too can have as much fun as I do. :) hee hee.
Brian! Thank goodness you posted on Wednesday night!!! We were watching the day slip away with only 17 comments.
OOH! And I have the BEST idea for my little bucket!!
I award Cristine as yesterday's Guilt Galore winner! She will be awarded May's HLA shirt. Cristine, tell us which Ray shirt you want and size and we'll hook you up.
As for June's winner? Lucky post number 14 (as decided on by my mother who is visiting). Cassie P. That's you. Pick out the Ray shirt of your choice and let us know. Size too.
What if you sent him a flashlight? I imagine teenage boys outside for nighttime adventures or playing a game of flashlight tag. Maybe you could send him a CD with music on it...since I know he loves music.
Fav. mag.... crowssword (game) mag... not much help here, sorry don't know how long he is away, how big a package you want to send and what he already has... they have access to the internet? A family video on u-tube with his little brothers being silly?
Haha! Nice... See, the early bird doesn't ALWAYS get the worm.
For father's day, I'm taking my dad to the local car show and having a barbecue for him. No big gift purchases or whatnot, but gracing him with my presence ;-) I don't get to visit him often, so that should be good.
Claudia - you should send a magazine that you know your son would enjoy. Or, a disposable camera (if he doesn't have one alreadY).
Also, much better on the volume this week... I could hear just about everything!
Hey all... still looking for something for dad... I saw these cute cupcakes over at Little Birdie's Secret... they're originally from Martha Stewart but you had to scroll through too many to get to them...so I'm reposting LBS.
OOHH I am starting a collection of HLA tshirts now...
I think Ill take Ray's Anatomy, size small, please!
Care package: Music of some sort, playing cards for sure, a book or magazine, things he might need like sunglasses, chapstick, batteries, bandaids are always good. Include a letter of how things are back home; whats goin on around town, with his family, etc. Paper, pen, envelopes, stamps to write back...thats all I can think of now.

That was my Grandmother's birthday... now to see if I can get a copilot and some time off work...

Thanks for the feedback on volume, Brian. Keep your insights coming.
