Serving Up Some Fun

For months now I've felt a fun theme coming on.

Now, with Thanksgiving only 16 days away, it seems perfectly appropriate to share some of the tableware we've been accumulating in the Beeny household. Thanksgiving, after all, is a holiday featuring friends, family, and food. Some of these items are sure to be a hit with your guests.

Go ahead. Push your food around...
Or, shovel it in.
Take your fork for a spin...
Or your drink.But... whatever you do, keep your eye on your dessert.
Dinner at our house is fun. How about you? Do you have any fun gadgets we should know about?

Signing off until tomorrow...

Oh Peggy...where have you gone off to? We miss you!!!

As far as kitchen gadgets? We don't really have any in our house just your standard utensils and dishes. It only gets as fun as Lily's colored plates from Ikea which come in 6 different bright colors that she gets to choose from each meal.

Peggy, Chaotic, Brian...where are you all at???

I don't really have any fun kitchen gadgets either. Just a fun soup bowl and spoon that I received as a gift from my office at the end of last year. They're the school colors and have our logo on them. However, I love the construction vehicle utensils you all have!

Wow! We don't have any dishes as fun as those. The closest we come are the robot printed fork and spoon that I got in the dollar bin at Target, and a plate that is in the shape of Tigger's head.
I love the "Wooly-Willy" style plate!

I'm here, here! Sorry, just didn't have anything to contribute to the throw down topics!

We have no fun 'gadgets' in our kitchen!! The most fun, however, is when four adults are in there prepping a meal...except when they all leave and I'm left to clean the mess!

We have the spiny forks that were a Christmas gift to the boys. We have lots of colored bowls and cups. The boys got a cup from school that turns blue when you add something cold to it. We usually pull out some holiday wares that they use.

Heather - we have those plates too! Thankfully they are also BPA free.

No fun gadgets here either unless you count the plates that have baby feet on them from OUR babies!

Well, I can't say that I have any fun utensils or dishes... The most interesting dishes I have are my square bowls and plates I purchased a few months ago. I love them. I feel "sophisticated" eating from square dishes.

I have a set of fun lego like utensils that I got Jalen when he was learning to feed himself

I also have a high heel cake server which I got through a fun white elephant gift exchange a few years ago...

We have some fun things - I know about the moo-mixer, we have 2.
We have stuff for all the holidays - cups, plates, placemats, etc. The boys have cups & water bottles with their names which are big hits and prevent fights.
Matt has a gigantic glass boot glass for beer down in the bar (80 oz) does that count? (yes, it's been used before too)

I have none of this, I need to step up my game!!
When I was small my mom had these great tupperware dessert dishes we all got excited when she got them out - it meant we got dessert!

Not even a silly straw, people?!?!?!

You're never too old to drink through a silly straw.

Oh! Yep! I have plenty of silly straws, too. We just got some new ones from Halloween.
