Psst...

MaRayjuana, here...
Hey Mon,

Irie.  Time to get those nerds out of here, burn one down and really get creative.  It's 4/20.  It's the day to roll a spleef and think about brownies.  If you know nothing about the day, Google it.  God, I love brownies.  Their shiny skin, the crumbly yet moist cake, the chocolate ooh, I need some brownies.  But I'm so comfortable.  Don't make me get up.  Hey Mon, somebody bring me some brownies.  I'm stoned and I can't get up.

Speaking of brownies and being stoned.  Cheryl must have been baked when she came up with the name Cupbrowookie.  WTF?  Say that 20 times fast!  They rock and I wish had about fifty of them right now bud dude, that name suuuuuucks.  I know, I'll smoke a bowl, drift off to sleep and you guys come up with a better name for this cross between a cookie and a brownie.  The winning name wins a book with more than 140 brownie recipes.

One more ting mon, check back in at 4:20 or so and get a peek at Cheryl's totally awesome recipe.  Let me know you're out there and I'll put your name in a hat to win my favorite brownie pan.  I'd share my recipe with you but I like to put in some of my own special Rasta herbs.

Irie.

Wow Ray...I must say, it is a VERY good thing you aren't one of my students or I'd have you kicked out faster than you can eat those brownies.

Gee Ray. I love brownies too, but not that kind! I think we need more information. How is the brownie/cookie thing crossed? Brownie batter mixed with cookie dough? Cookie dough in the shape of brownies? Brownie batter in the shape of cookies? Whatever the mixture is, it sounds delicious.

Ray, Ray, Ray! What I have told you about those brownies??? You have got to get that under control! And you've got to steer clear of my residents today...oh the fear of 4/20!

On this topic, I like being a square cookie, this is one trivial fact I can swirl in my brain and toss out pretty quick!

The CUP in cupbrowookie makes me think Ray might have been too stoned to remember that there's also a cupcake cross happening here. True or false? We need to know that if we're really going to name this thing. Sounds delicious, all the same. And I HEART Ray. He's bad, but soooooo funny, and I needed that this morning!

I don't get the whole 4/20 thing... but I would sure like to be chillaxing with Ray on the hammock!!

Margaret and others as nerdy as Ray claims Cheryl, Heather, Katie, and I are...

Apprarently 4/20 (or April 20) is the international day for smoking pot, ... I think.

I'll have to opt out of the pot smoking, but I'm all about eating a brownie!!!

Heather... or one of you other nerds out there, can you add anything to my limited explanation of 4/20?

Just got to work from the lovely orthodontist where Oh Joy~ Drew gets to start his right of passage to straight teeth and I get to start the inconvenience of appointments. I might need an herbed laced brownie!

Actually- no. I'm a square as it comes when we're talking about smoking and drugs. I've been known to have some alcohol. I'm backed up here... be back later...

Heather...did you get my email about the idea winner for the keychain? I sent it to hla.

Although I'll be staying away from it, I found this about 420: http://www.snopes.com/language/stories/420.asp

I like pans...and baking books :)

My thoughts on names for brownie/cookies:
Twisted Delights
Brownie Chip Cookies
Cookie Dough Brownies
Brownie Chunk Cookies

Mmmmm... brownies are my fave! (I like putting an Andes mint on top of each brownie, and baking them in muffin pans instead of a cake pan.

Anyhow, I hope all is well!

How about:
Cookie Swirl Brownies
Crazy Cookie Brownies
Double Chocolate Brownie Cookies

4/20 goes actually back to the "smoke break" time... which then became a national party in the netherlands, parade & all...
you see, at 4:20pm every day, you stop and take a break, rasta style.
think english tea time but with a bit more herb and a lot less water.... Ray is apparently stteping his herb in brownies!

I love that you know that, Chaotic. My, my what a interesting gathering of people we are!

Speaking of 4:20, don't forget to check back in later today when Cheryl reveals her special brownie recipe!

This will be a good one for our cookbook - prominently placed on a page directly across from Ray.

OK, I'm awaiting the recipe and just hoping they're not Ray style!
Grace has proclaimed that she's in "cooking school" and wants to cook something fun each day, this sounds right up our alley!

I love the whole tea time referrence. I've never smoked but when I was in college, I would go with my friends to their smoke breaks... in retrospect I should have stayed and painted!!

So, does English "tea time" something like our 5:00 happy hour? Or is that different?

Erica~ These are perfect for you and the kids. You could do a batch of the cupcake version and then do the rest in the a pan if it gets too tedious. :)

Hope you are feeling well!

I like the cupcake idea with them to make them kid size! Frosting is great too. I am doing well, thanks! 26 weeks now!
