I'm a day behind... check out my blog to see some picture groupings in my antique secretary. Maybe when I get home from work @@ I'll post my kitchen, closet, craft room. This is fun!!
I'm not quite done yet, but I will post a few pictures tomorrow! I am so excited to be almost done. Claudia, Peggy, and Chaotic, I love what you have accomplished!
I am afraid half the time I am going to come home to a reality show camera crew being there because my friends called them. Of perhaps, staged a clean house "intervention".
IF you don't want to post pictures, feel free to just tell us about your favorite storage solution for either the kitchen, your closets, or your craft space/stuff.
I posted an attempt to answer Layne's question last night (about storing purses), but maybe someone else has an idea too. I will check out the Chaotic and Peggy's links here in a minute. I'm excited to get a glimpse into the lives of our readers.
Chaotic.. oh my gosh!!!!! I cannot believe your craft space! Unbelievable. I am so envious of all the space and all the stacks of paper! Wow! That's all I have to say... Wow!
I wish I had a picture of my Mom's best storage space solution.
She moved into a house several years ago that had a large kitchen/dining space but not alot of cabinets. She struggled for about a year with how to deal with the lack of storage space. She too had inherited a great old piece, hers was a buffet, from my Great Grandma. The piece was worn and had many dents/dings and scratches in it. She tiled the top and inserted it into her kitchen as an island and it has worked beautifully. The drawers now contain her silverware, the bottom contains pots and pans, side drawers contain dishtowels and the top is functional as an island/prep space. It has been a perfect solution.
Storage haha. I have 2 little boys. We don't need storage. We need a new house. It's chaos. Except for the basement. My best storage solution -a KEG for beer. It's been a long week.
Oh I guess I do have a single tip. I had trouble finding the hair brush. I sit in a chair every morning to brush all the hair in the house (8 kids, 6 girls). Finally after years of having to start by searching for a brush and a day or two of kids going unbrushed to school, I tied the brush with a left over piece of Chanukah ribbon on the floor. I tied it to the cabinet next to my chair. It's still there, 8 years later and I use it every morning.
okay, home, new trees watered, food planned for friend's memorial service tomorrow... now squeezing in the 2 wall hanging pics I promised and then DINNER!!!! visit me here http://chaotickristi.blogspot.com/
Well ladies thank you...you got my butt in gear. On Wed. So today I am off from school so bedroom here I come...organization and moving my Zen place.

I will have to post mine tonight... late. But I will post.
Chaotic- wow... look at all those pens, scissors and paper! All at your fingertips.
Peggy- my sister inherited a piece similar to yours. It was our great-grandmothers but I'm not sure she still has it now that I bring it up.
Can't wait to see everyone's spaces. My kitchen looks much like Claudia's just not as organized. Thank you Container Store and Elfa!!
You do not even want to know.
Really.

Chaotic...
I checked your pictures out. The colors are beautiful and I like that you displayed them as a series.
I have friends that are artists and I even have wall space reserved!
Hint. Hint.
Okay! I made it! My scary pics are up at www.opry.blogspot.com and as Lily would say, "Hot Mess!"
