Psst...

DemocRAYcy here.
Before you head off for some Que and fireworks, let's take a moment to reflect.  Not on the usual freedom and prosperity and opportunity and land of milk and honey stuff.  Let's take a moment to marvel at how a bunch of 18th Century misfits decided (half drunk I would guess) to give Merry Ole England the finger.

What is it about the water over here that makes people want to completely rebel.  Nope, the rules don't apply to us.  We can do whatever we want.  We can have tea parties and revolutions.  We can have our own country, print our own money and create just about anything we need.  Creativity and freedom, that's what it's all about.  The freedom to create religions, wear purple boots and even invent the light bulb.  How's that for a shining example of creativity.

Want another......Only in this country could a beer swilling, elk shooting, tiny-town mayor become Governor of Alaska and then actually believe that she was qualified to become President.  It's that give Merry Ole England the finger mentality that makes it possible.  Millions and millions of us running around giving people the finger.  It's truly contagious.  You know that experiment where they proved yawns are contagious.  Well you should try giving someone the finger.  Go on.  It's fun.  It's patriotic.  It's down right American.  Now see if the people around you are doing it to.  Even if they're not, I'll bet they want to.

Happy 4th of July people............by the way, you can't see my finger in the picture but....

Signing off until Monday...

I know exactly to whom I want to give the fourth of July finger...

(Is that trademarked?)

Robin- I think you should trademark the term "Forth of July Finger". We could start a tradition!

Happy Birthday America! :0)

Cute pictures of Ray!

How many fingers am I holding up?In this day and age, who in their RIGHT mind would want to even be President? Where all Americans have freedom to say what they want, even if it's not true, or dig in the past to find irrelovantstories, or even talk about your children in cruel ways... a government of the people, by the people, for the people?

God Bless America! All the men and women who serve this country to keep us free!
Amen!

Hmmmm... Ray, you're a bit too much for me today! I've never given anyone the finger and don't plan on it! I'm proud of my country, our bravery and rebelliousness! (I also don't think we want to start getting into arguing about the qualifications of political candidates!)
So on this fourth of July I say, "God Bless America, Land that I love"

Catch up time for me...

Thank You..SO EXCITED about the cookie cutter..Pause I am hearing the wonderful laughter of my children in the back ground :)...My girls will love it also. Now Claudia, I just need a lesson in decorating them.

3D airplane ?? Can't wait to see the outcome :)

Family idea for next years 4th..since I am a day late posting..Take note to NOT let your three year old get close to you with a sparkler. She burned a hole through my shorts and burned my BUTT...WOOOOW those things get HOT!

Katie. How many guest are traveling in? I don't know if you all are already doing this but, instead of putting a gift in everyones room put an invite to brunch the next morning and enjoy your family a little longer :)
